Words Indeed is proud to contribute a portion of the proceeds from sales of our two most recent titles to very worthy causes.

Author Laurie Dennett (A Hug for the Apostle: On Foot from Chartres to Santiago de Compostela) undertook her 1986 Pilgrimage for MS on the Camino, and her two later pilgrimages, from London to Rome (1989), and from Canterbury to Jerusalem (1992), for the MS Societies in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Spain, and contributed the proceeds for the first edition of her book to them. It seems fitting that a portion of the proceeds from our new edition of A Hug for the Apostle should go to the magnificent new BARLO MS Centre at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, the hospital where Laurie was born on St Michael’s day.

Publisher John Parry grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, where he attended Centenary United Church, which boasted a rich musical ministry. John Randle sets one chapter of The Landlady Quintet at McMaster University and in Westdale village, both in Hamilton. A portion of the proceeds from John’s book is going to the restoration project at Centenary: The Music Hall at New Vision, which will create a superb new musical venue in the heart of Hamilton.
